Install or Flash Android lollipop in Google nexus 5,7 and nexus 10. Recently Google started rolling out Android lollipop 5.0 and 5.1 to various nexus devices. As you all know nexus series is the first who gets all the latest update. There are three devices that'll get this update which includes Nexus 5, Nexus 7 Wi-Fi and the Nexus 10. Google already posted factory reset updated images of the above devices on their website. If you don't want to wait for the ota updates and you are and impatient Nexus hardcore user then you can install Android 5.1 lollipop manually too. This is the straight forward guide that'll tell you each and everything about installing latest updates manually in nexus. Here you have to manually download and install Android lollipop image from official Google website.
Though this process is not recommended for users but here we are unveiling it. I want to tell you that before following our guide please make a backup of your data because all data might be lost in this process and we know that your data is precious. So here we go just follow our below exclusive guide to install or flash lollipop version in your nexus device.
How to Update Nexus 5,7 and 10 Manually With Android Lollipop
First of all you must have to install latest Android sdk in your computer or laptop. You can download it from below link.
Download Android SDK Free
This Will automatically install two softwares i.e. ADB, and Fastboot which one can access by command terminal on your computer. It's a part of their development kit on which we can't do anything.
Now do add sdk folder to the Destination by following below steps:
First of all do right click on My Computer and select Properties from the list. Click on Advanced System Settings.
Click on System Properties > Advanced > Environment Variables.
Now after doing all this do select destination then click on edit and then just type the name of directory where you already installed Android sdk and don't forget that every entry will be separated by semi-colon. Now do enable usb debugging on your Android nexus phone. How to do that?
Go to your phone settings then select about phone then go to Software Information. Now just tap on build number 7 times continuously and finally tick on usb debugging option.
May be you already enabled it if you did then skip above guide. Now you have to Download factory image for your device.

After downloading above file now extract it on your pc. Connect your nexus phone to the computer by usb data cable. Start Android device in fastboot move. To do that in nexus 5 just hold the volume up, volume down and power buttons while switching ON the device.

There's other option to boot into Fastboot mode is by using adb tool: You just have to keep your phone ON. Go to command terminal and enter below command there:=
adb reboot bootloader
If there's any need the unlock your mobile phone bootloader by using your PC or laptop, there go to command terminal and execute below command:=
fastboot oem unlock just make sure that your phone is connected with your computer. Now after fastbooting
Open up command terminal and go to unzipped system image directory. Now just execute flash-all.bat, this file is part of unzipped file. This script will automatically install bootloader, baseband
firmware, and operating system.
For this you have to add folder where adb and fastboot is installed in system path. After doing all this, it's recommended to lock up the bootloader for security purposes.
You can do that by restarting the device in fastboot mode when it will connected already by USB cable, use below command in terminal:=
fastboot oem lock
